Janet Hofer, LPC, CEAP Director
Jan has been the Director of the Interfaith Employee Assistance Center since its inception in 1981. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, and a Substance Abuse Professional. She is a member of the the Employee Assistance Professionals Association, the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Society for Human Resource Management. Jan specializes in designing Employee Assistance Programs to meet the needs of companies large and small. She consults with companies in a wide range of industries, such as public service, communications, bio-medical and engineering. Her counseling specialities include depression and anxiety, work stress, life crises and marriage and family counseling. Jan graduated with a M.Ed. in counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University and has post graduate hours in marriage and family counseling from Texas A&M.


Laura Marmion, LPC, LMFT Therapist and Trainer
Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the Employee Assistance Professionals Association. She has a broad background in mental health, beginning as a psychiatric nurse in an inpatient setting, clinical director of a Family Service Agency and Employee Assistance Professional serving and consulting to a variety of industries including petrochemical, government, medical and social services. Laura specializes in assessment and treatment of workplace issues, substance abuse, individuals or families dealing with serious illness, gender and cultural issues, anger management and training and consultation in the workplace.


Margaret Bruce, LPC  Counselor and Trainer
Margaret Bruce is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist who has specialized in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families for the past eight years. She has presented workshops on parenting, anger management and stress management, and is an instructor of Psychology at Montgomery College. She has served on the board of directors for Family Outreach, and is currently the mental health consultant for Head Start.


Karen McKibben, LCSW  Counselor and Trainer
Karen McKibben has a Master's degree in Social Work, is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional and holds several state and national certifications in substance abuse counseling. Karen has worked with individuals, couples and families facing the issues of mental health, relationship issues and substance abuse for 20 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Special interests include blended families, seniors and their families, chemical dependency interventions and group counseling.


Nancy Aldrich, LCSW  Counselor and Trainer
Nancy Aldrich is a Licensed Master Social Worker with recognition as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. She has co-facilitated a women's breast cancer support group and a grief support group at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital, where she is a volunteer chaplain and is a member of the initial steering committee of the Academy for Lifelong Learning at Montgomery College.
She has an A.B in English and a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois. She received a M.S.S. in Clinical Social Work from the Bryn Mawr College and is a graduate of the therapist training program of the New York Society for Bioenergetic Analysis and is trained in Thought Field Therapy.


Dale Alexander Ph.D., LCSW  Counselor and Trainer
Dale Alexander Ph.D., LCSW is a tenured professor at the University of Houston, Graduate School of Social Work. Before moving to The Woodlands, Dale provided mental health services while teaching in Family Medicine Programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The Ohio State University. Dale earned his MSW from Florida State, his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Ohio State, and Post Graduate Fellowships in Marital & Family Therapy and Substance Abuse Education. Dale served in the Army from 1970 to 1993 as a mental health officer, retiring from the Reserves. Dale works with individuals, couples or families experiencing emotional or relationship issues.


Nancy Lewis, LCSW  Counselor and Trainer
Nancy Lewis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has provided counseling for adults, families, and children in fields of health, hospices, mental health, and aging. She has developed and conducted specialized training programs and support groups. Areas of particular interest include older adults and other caregivers, and those facing losses or experiencing transitions.
